Abstract

The article discusses the main characteristics of project-oriented student learning as a method of improving teaching in Russian universities. The leading methods of this approach to student education are considered. A comparative analysis of problem-oriented learning and project-oriented learning in the education system of the Russian Federation is presented. The skills, abilities and abilities that students who study under the project-oriented education system at universities receive are described in detail. The emphasis is placed on the possible results of the project-oriented method in general for universities and students. The stages of students' project activity as creative independent work are described. The classification of projects involving students in the Russian university system is considered in detail.
