Challenges of digital transformation of the economy of Uzbekistan based on the introduction of artificial intelligence
Abstract
This article analyzes the digital transformation of the Uzbek economy in the context of the rapid development of digital technologies and the introduction of artificial intelligence. Based on data from international organizations and analytical reports, the main indicators of the country's digital development are studied, including Internet penetration, the development of the e-government system, the dynamics of the e-government development index (EGDI), and the growth of exports of IT services and digital infrastructure. The results of the study show that Uzbekistan has made significant progress in the digitalization of the economy and public administration in recent years, which is confirmed by the improvement of the country's position in international rankings. However, some problems have been identified related to the unevenness of digital development across regions, the lack of digital skills, and the relatively low share of the digital economy in GDP. It concludes that for the sustainable development of the digital economy within the framework of the "Digital Uzbekistan 2030" strategy, it is necessary to further develop digital infrastructure, expand IT education, and improve the institutional environment.
