Prospects for sustainable development management in higher education institutions
Abstract
The article explores the theoretical and practical aspects of managing the sustainable development of higher education institutions in the context of global socio-economic and technological transformations. It examines contemporary challenges affecting the activities of universities, including increased competition in the global education market, the digitalization of the economy, the internationalization of education, and changing labor market requirements. Special attention is given to strategic management as a key instrument for ensuring the long-term sustainability of higher education institutions. The study analyzes the mechanisms for the formulation and implementation of university development strategies aimed at improving the quality of education, strengthening research potential, and enhancing innovative activity. A significant focus is placed on the digitalization of the educational process, which is considered an important factor in improving management efficiency, expanding access to educational resources, and enabling universities to adapt to the conditions of digital transformation.
